Dear employer,
As mentioned in the previous sections, employers play a crucial role in the vocational education and training process. This role becomes extremely significant with the emergence of new scientific and technological developments introduced to the labor market. These advancements require a qualified and trained workforce, making the presence of trainees in your workplace essential. This contributes to preparing these trainees for modern tools and technologies, ensuring the availability of a qualified workforce with the necessary skills for the profession and future technological advancements.
To be a partner in the training process and welcome trainees, specific conditions must be met to prepare the workplace and the expert craftsman (whether you or a professional in your employ who will be responsible for training the students) to participate in the workplace learning program. This program includes training at the end of the learning phase, practical work experience at the workplace, and vocational apprenticeship starting from the vocational education and training institution.
Firstly: Preparing Your Facilities Before Training Begins
Certain steps must be taken to prepare your facilities and training location to participate in training your students within the workplace learning process:
- Ensure the availability of suitable professional conditions for the training process, including:
- Providing a suitable training location.
- Ensuring the availability of the necessary equipment for the work.
- Providing infrastructure and/or tools to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
- Provide conditions for occupational health and safety.
- Refer to the importance of this aspect here.
- Utilize the interactive library on the website that includes videos on safety and occupational health in various fields.
- Refer to the library and benefit from the available books on the topic of safety and occupational health.
- Ensure a healthy environment:
- Provide adequate ventilation and lighting.
- Provide separate facilities for men and women if both genders are received.
- Create a supportive environment:
- Foster enthusiasm for training in the employer and the expert craftsman.
- Ensure a warm reception from other employees.
- Implement procedures that allow complaints and address discrimination based on social gender or disability.
- Collaborate with the vocational education and training institution to complete preparations for receiving trainees.
Secondly: Selecting and Preparing the Expert Craftsman for Training

- Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in the profession.
- Has the motivation to train others.
- Is willing to engage in self-development to effectively train students.
- Has the ability to fill out forms and write reports.
- Take the following steps to prepare and develop the skills of the expert craftsman for the tasks in workplace learning:
- Facilitate the integration of trainees into the workplace.
- Build a relationship with trainees.
- Plan trainees' skills, examine them, and use the trainees' records.
- Provide instructions and feedback, working on increasing motivation.
- Assess the trainees.
- Monitor the assessment and take appropriate training measures.
Use the available tools, including:
- Record form.

- Training assessment form.
The vocational education and training institution can also use the same tools or have similar tools available.
- Ensure that the trainees acquire the required skills in the workplace, as agreed upon with the vocational education and training institution:
- Provide trainees with technical skills specific to the profession.
- Equip trainees with skills related to materials, tools, and processes (such as taking measurements to installation, diagnosis to maintenance, or from design to production).
