Elias Shahin - Overcoming Challenges to Success

Elias Shahin, from the village of Ain Arik in the Ramallah district, is single and lives with his family of 7 members. His father works as a laborer, and his mother is not employed. After completing the tenth grade, Elias leaned towards vocational training following guidance from the Lutheran Center. He joined the Vocational Training Center in 2007, specializing in welding and metal shaping, and aluminum works, graduating in 2009.

After graduation, he trained in an aluminum workshop in Birzeit for 5 to 6 months and then opened his aluminum workshop. His monthly income reached 3,000 shekels. He obtained many workshops in his village and in Ramallah, assisting his father and supporting his family. Previously, his father was the sole breadwinner and unable to meet the family's needs.
