After completing his high school studies at an industrial school and obtaining an industrial mechanic certificate, Mamoun worked in his field for about a year and a half. However, due to health issues resulting from the nature of the job, he suffered from bone and stomach diseases. He left work and underwent treatment for about a year. After regaining his health, Mamoun began considering a profession that would secure his future in a safe and comfortable working environment.
His father suggested learning food preparation, and a family friend recommended studying at the Vocational Training Center affiliated with the Lutheran World Federation. His friend's daughter had graduated from the same Food Preparation department. Indeed, Mamoun enrolled in the center, and his application was accepted. He describes the academic year as full of learning new skills, with a comfortable and flexible learning environment. He actively participated in volunteer work, driven by his passion for the profession and the desire to gain more experience.
During the external training period, where trainees continue their training in the job market for three months in coordination between the center and employers, Mamoun trained in a hotel in Jerusalem. After graduating, he was employed as a staff member in the food preparation department, proving his skills and commitment. He expresses his love for his profession and aspires to develop himself further, aiming to become a responsible chef in the future.
