The Secondary Vocation School in Beit Hanina in Jerusalem was founded in 1965 by the Arab Orphan Committee. The German government provides the school with educational and training supplies as well as experts. The school serves Palestinian orphan students aged 15 to 18. The school supplies its students with physical and human resources and suitable circumstances to develop their practical and theoretical skills to have more chances to acquire jobs in the local market and earn a living for their families.
The school provide training in several topics such as computer numerical control (CNC), welding and molding metals, plumbing and central heating, air-conditioning, carpentry and furniture manufacturing, telecommunications technology, cell phone maintenance, computer and networks maintenance, office supplies maintenance, electrical installations, auto-mechatronics, and hotel management.
