The profession of home appliance electrician includes many activities and works related to the installation, connection, inspection and maintenance of various home electrical appliances. Workers in the profession of home appliance electrician may also sell and market home electrical appliances.
The home appliance electrician works alone and reads the plans of home electrical appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, fans, air conditioners, ovens, heaters, water heaters, food mixers, their maintenance manuals, operating systems and protection devices according to the manufacturing companies, and reading the specifications and characteristics of home electrical appliances and their switches, protection devices, installing home appliance operator equipment, operating them, and implementing maintenance programs for them, including their electrical, mechanical and thermal elements, and providing work materials according to quantities and specifications. Installing and grounding household electrical appliances, operating them, implementing maintenance programs for them, determining installation or service and repair fees, filling out work forms, managing subordinates and developing their skills, and applying occupational safety and health procedures and instructions. This includes household appliances. Some household appliance electricians work in selling and marketing various appliances because their professional experience is important in explaining the advantages of various appliances to customers and explaining the professional specifications, differences and advantages of each type of these appliances.

To perform the previous tasks, the home appliance electrician needs to obtain the necessary competencies of knowledge, skills and trends, starting from general competencies in the field of electricity, electronics and mechanics, to specialized competencies in the field of electrical circuits and various home electrical appliance systems and knowing how they work and identifying their components and reading their catalogs, to having the ability to disassemble and assemble devices and their internal components such as motors, switches, protection and regulation devices and heating elements, and the accompanying mechanical parts such as axles, bearings and transmissions, and mastering them, and using the catalogs related to the profession, installation and maintenance based on the various systems of the various manufacturing companies, as well as having the ability to use tools, equipment and general safety procedures. English language skills, especially those related to the profession, and skills in using engineering computer programs and specialized in home appliance electrician work, and the necessary life skills such as communication skills, interaction and dealing with customers, and building the personality necessary to carry out the required tasks. And the competencies that enable him to carry out the work mentioned in the description of the profession (which are the qualifications required for the labor market), in addition to mastering the modern technology skills that the labor market needs, and the entrepreneurial and administrative skills necessary to open his own project. Workers in this profession acquire these skills and competencies through education and vocational training that they receive in vocational education and training institutions.

The period varies according to previous experience and the ability to develop, and then work as an electrical extensions professional. It is also possible for his/her work to develop over time to become a specialized electrical extensions professional with experience. In medium and large workshops, it is possible to develop to work as a professional supervisor, and many electrical extensions professionals work for themselves or create their own business. Income develops and multiplies according to development, gaining experience and demonstrating the ability to develop, and this is what distinguishes a graduate of a vocational education and training institution from someone who joins the labor market without a profession.

Those who have completed vocational guidance can complete their education in applied colleges and universities. Those who have not completed vocational guidance through their institution can apply for it through private study two years after graduation and work in the profession (some institutions hold qualifying courses to apply for the exam). However, the certificate obtained from these centers qualifies its holder to work as a professional in the labor market without the need to complete his/her studies.
